RolandRadio.net is back!
Nilquader died on August 23, 2015. Exactly 11 years later, RolandRadio rises again.
After nearly three years of downtime, the RolandRadio.net website is finally online again. Our streaming server had also stopped working, and following some changes to the electrical infrastructure, the playout server failed to come back online — leaving RolandRadio completely silent for several months.
Over the past few days, we’ve brought everything back to life. The streaming and playout servers are up and running again, and the RolandRadio.net platform has received a major technical overhaul: we’ve upgraded from Laravel 7 and PHP 7.3 to Laravel 12 and PHP 8.5.
So, after a rather long break, we’re finally ready to go again!
Over the coming weeks, we’ll continue working on RolandRadio and give our platform — originally built back in 2020 — some much-needed updates to bring it into 2026. There are several improvements and new features planned, while keeping the spirit of RolandRadio exactly where it belongs: celebrating the unique sound of the Amstrad CPC.
Stay tuned, join us for the comeback, and look forward to many more years of great Amstrad CPC chiptunes.
RolandRadio.net is back on air!
